Over €50,000 is being awarded to community groups and organisations in Galway City and County as part of the Community-based Heritage Grant Scheme for 2015.
As TD for Galway West/Mayo South and Chairman of the Fine Gael Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Committee I warmly welcome this funding for groups across our city and county. Community-based groups are integral to Galway’s heritage and culture which benefits local communities and entices visitors and tourists to our county.
This round of funding benefits groups in both the City and the county and will enable the organisations to plough ahead with important projects across a range of themes including the arts, the environment and build heritage.
