I have been a consistent supporter of the GCRR from the start and I believe it is central to the sustainable development of Galway as a living city and Regional Capital.  The plans for the Galway City Ring Road (GCRR) are still being considered.  It is with An Bord Pleanála for reassessment under the Climate Action Plan.  It is then likely to go before the Courts again.  A final decision is unfortunately some time off.  The GCRR is an integral part of the Galway City Transportation Strategy together with other active travel measures.
